Project Overview
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is responsible for planning and providing an integrated transport system in the Emirate of Dubai, and between Dubai and other Emirates of the United Arab Emirates to achieve Dubai’s vision and serving the vital interests of the Emirate. The RTA decided to outsource Operations & Maintenance Services for Dubai Bus to bus operators with an international experience, appropriate strength, expertise and capability in operation of similar services.
Approach
A total of nine written responses were submitted, with responsibility for:
Mobilisation: demonstration of how Stagecoach will takeover and transfer existing services
Business Management: how Stagecoach will structure the organisation and manage its staff
Asset Management: explanation of the approach, policies and procedures that will enable effective and highly performing assets
Security Management: approach to managing security on the network
Innovation: commitments for funding and delivering new technologies to the bus network.
Each response required extensive evidence collected from Stagecoach Group and close working with each workstream to develop their proposals and response structure.
Results
The response was submitted on time and is currently being evaluated by the RTA.
