Project Overview
The East Midlands franchise includes commuter services from London St Pancras to Corby, as well as intercity services from London St Pancras along the Midland Main Line to Nottingham and Sheffield, also serving Lincoln, Leeds and York. It also includes local East Midlands services and inter-regional, Express services to Liverpool and Norwich.
Delivery Plans
The Invitation to Tender was released in June 2018. We were responsible for delivering four Delivery Plans:
Partnering, including plans for working with Network Rail and regional Stakeholders to introduce and manage cohesive change
Train Services, including the delivery of express and local train services and the introduction of electrified train services on the London to Corby route, along with seasonal train service planning
Rolling Stock, including the introduction of a new Main Line fleet, refurbishing and remapping the local train fleet, increasing train presentation scores and introducing new technologies to reduce diesel emissions
Performance, including embedding a customer-focused, on time performance management culture, collaborating with stakeholders and introducing new digital technologies to capture and resolve performance issues.
Each response required extensive research for the situation analysis, which produced key findings that subsequently informed the development of initiatives and development of the risk register. A number of supporting documents, such as the fleet cascade plan and related Train Service Requirements, needed to be referenced and cross-checked for compliance.
